Glory Cup 2020 - CANCELLED

COVID-19 continues to have a significant impact on all our lives. We are adapting to social distancing and self-isolation and coping with the uncertainty of when these restrictions will be lifted. In the best interests of everyone’s health and safety, the Utah Glory Soccer Club has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Glory Cup Tournament and Festival.

The 2020 tournament had been scheduled for the dates of July 29 thru August 1, 2020. An order by the City of West Jordan ordering all soccer clubs stop the mass usage of the West Jordan soccer complex until Salt Lake County has been in a category Green for a minimum of two weeks due to COVID-19, would have meant that the only way for The Glory Cup could take place would be either finding a new location, or pushing the tournament back to a later date with hopes that we are in the Green category even later this summer.

The 2020 tournament would have been the 12th annual tournament. In past years, the tournament and festival has brought in hundreds of boys and girls’ teams from all over Utah, as well as teams from neighboring states for what is considered one of the largest youth soccer tournaments in the state. We know this will greatly disappoint many coaches, athletes and their families, and match officials who look forward to The Glory Cup which was established over 12 years ago to promote soccer and a family fun atmosphere.

We thank everyone for their continued support of the Glory Cup. Please look for communications during the coming months from Utah Glory with updates of Utah Glory soccer events, and we look forward to your participation in the 2021 Glory Cup!

Our hope, and thoughts are with all of the players and their families as we all continue through this difficult time together.

Thank you,

Glory Cup Tournament Committee
